Kirby Risk was presented with the Best Annual Planning Process Award during the Spirit of Independence Awards banquet at the Affiliated Distributors (AD) Electrical North American Meeting held in October 2016.
The Spirit of Independence Awards honors the commitment that AD members and supplier partners have made to independent distribution and their enterprising efforts to succeed in the industry.
The Best Annual Planning Process Award is given to the AD member who executes the most effective AD Field Marketing Summit (FMS) during the most recent market planning season. Winners keep communications flowing with their AD Supplier Partners throughout the year. They keep track of yearly goals and regularly update Suppliers with the progress made toward those goals. According to AD, each nominee is evaluated on excellence in the planning process and the implementation of innovative activities and creativity.
Kyle Krizan, VP Marketing and Construction Sales, accepted the award presented by Jeff Siegfried, President and CEO of Omni Cable.
In his speech, Kyle thanked John Eggleton, President and COO, KRES, for his leadership, guidance and support of the FMS and for his help in driving the planning effort down through the entire organization.
Kyle especially thanked Dave Heaviland, Director of Marketing and Sales Administration, and his team for leading the efforts. “He leads this entire process for us and really has built planning, from a foundational standpoint, from the ground level that is a catalyst for growth for all of our AD partners.” The team who helps implement the FMS planning process includes Erin Kingery, Marketing Coordinator, Lisa Mayer, Marketing Services and Tammy Spencer, Marketing Communications Manager.
